The
Bug and the Flea in Rome
The
Bug and the Flea marched on Rome
To bring down the Roman Empire
Caesar wished they had stayed at home
And nations toasted to see Rome on fire
It
was a big decision to take
For Rome was no small cake
Did they bite off more than they could chew?
They proved us all wrong the mighty two
Said
the Bug to the Flea, I'm itching for a fight
As the Roman legions came into sight
The legions armour glistened in the sun
But soon they would be on the run
The
senate cried its just a bluff
Caesar said i'll take no more guff
But the Bug was rough and the Flea was tough
And they always did their stuff
The
Flea said Rome was not built in a day
But the Bug he spoke few words
And if Caesar was alive today
With the Bug and the Flea, he would never cross swords
The
Flea held them off, while the Bug circled round
The pincer move was invented that way
And with a battle plan so sound
Rome fell in just one day
The
legions were right in refusing to fight
The Praetorian Guard ran off into the night
And by morning light no Roman was in sight
They ran from the Bug and the Flea's fierce bite
Now
the United Nations is a joke they say
For all the world to see
And Rome would still rule this day
If not for the Bug and the Flea
